Professional Experience

My career path in computational engineering, research, and academic leadership.

Postdoctoral Research Fellow

Current

Marquette University (CCL) | Oct 2025 – Present

Leading research on advanced microclimate modeling at a city-block scale. Developing a novel CFD framework for optimizing load balancing in large-scale Lagrangian-Eulerian systems within HPC environments.

Research & Teaching History

Aug 2017 – Aug 2025

Graduate Research Assistant

Marquette University, Milwaukee, WI

  • Conducted reactive molecular dynamics (RMD) simulations of soot formation and morphology.
  • Developed MAFIA-MD and StereoFractAnalyzer tools for advanced data analysis.
  • Mentored undergraduate researchers in developing ML-based image segmentation algorithms.

Aug 2018 – May 2020

Graduate Teaching Assistant

Marquette University, Milwaukee, WI

Served as an instructor for the Materials Science Lab. Prepared and delivered lectures on Heat Transfer and graded for Fluid Mechanics and Thermodynamics courses.

Mar 2016 – Aug 2017

Mentor & Graduate Assistant

BUET, Dhaka, Bangladesh

Mentored two thesis groups (7 students) on nano-confinement heating and stratified coaxial jet modeling, leading to three conference presentations.

Fellowships & Leadership

Jobling Distinguished Fellow

Awarded the Richard W. Jobling Distinguished Research Fellowship ($22,000) for 2023-2024 to conduct research on soot and air quality.

Mentorship & Outreach

Code4Climate: Organized Python workshops for high schoolers (2023, 2025).
